I have a 30 gallon tank sitting on top of a dresser. This thing sucks up water really fast but the tube (for removing the water) is really short and doesn’t reach the bucket I’m disposing the old water in. Haven’t tested all the features yet and I’m really excited to.

Their customer service was really good so if you ever have any problems, they are more than happy to assist you with refunds or replacements, but the biggest reason I am leaving this review is to let you know that the hose for it pops off constantly you need to buy a hose clamp like the one in the picture I included with this review. If you want to make it actually stay in place. Also, the only other problem is that for some reason they made it that the actual suction pump has little holes on the side of it so if it’s not fully submerged, it will suck in air and not really clean the tank all the way so if you’re trying to use it to drain a tank you’re going to have about 4in or so of water left in the tank which can be slightly annoying but if you simply get some water resistant duck tape or water, safe silicone sealant, and cover the cracks and holes on the side of it. It will be able to get most of the water out of the fish tank. Just a FYI I don’t 100% know if covering the holes on the side of it will hurt the pump. just an idea to help it get all the water out. I hope this helps

The device works well, however the output hose is not very long and comes of the motor easily. Several spills when hose came off as water is ejected upward from the pump. If the hose could be attached better and fastened securely, this pump would be great. It is a real time saver unless you have to clean a spill.

Iv had this for quite a while now and have not used it until just yesterday. So my return window has been closed for quite some time now with no option but to THROW IT AWAY when I find a suitable replacement. I hate wasting money. But now I know what to look for in my next vacuum . It looks great in the packaging and it come with lots of attachments in organized spaces within the box to make it a reusable box to keep things where you need them. when it’s running it’s fast and quiet. Keep in mind to lift the pump out of the water when you shut it off because the system is still pressurized and it will keep pumping water. I had a little over spray! What makes this bad is that you can’t entirely drain the tank because the pump needs to be submerged under water and it’s a big pump and with an attachment on it makes it so much bigger. It could have had a lower “vent?”, (Is it even supposed to suck air? Is it a bad seal?!?) Or whatever hole that is sucking air instead of water. It’s plastic! Reshape it! I was able to make it down to the last couple inches of water. I had to keep the wand almost perpendicular to the water surface. the last couple inches of water before it quit pumping water, it was really struggling to keep suction. Another bad observation is the plug design. When I pulled it straight out, it didn’t want to go back in because it must have been installed at a bad angle because I was bending the pins before I realized it. So check that those pins are lined up perfectly before you plug it back together. And now the worst part. Buyers remorse type bad. The power switch is located about 28 inches from where you plug it in. So that means you have to use both hands to flip the switch and pull the pump up out of the water. It was so awkward to use. And I’m not the most coordinated person but I can’t imagine someone that doesn’t have good hand eye coordination is going to use this and not risk over spray of gross aquarium water all over. I don’t like this pump at all. If the switch was relocated to the handle to make it a one handed operation I would like this pump. Unfortunately the design team behind this just let this huge inconvenient feature slip by. Why?
