Great at saving little ones from cannibal tank mates. Debris does get stuck inside so you need to move it around every few days to filter it out through the slots. Other than that it’s perfect.

This is a fine fish hatchery. I will be using this for a small platy. I purchased the small. Size is perfect for female while giving birth. The size is big enough for the baby fry to live in for the first week or 2. Suction is strong. Does not tip over.

The small comes with a bottom tray with slits for babies to fall into. There is also a divider that can be used to separate 2 fish. The sides and lid have slots for water flow.

The only fault I noticed is the top. It easily comes off and I don’t think it will stay on if submerged in water.

The product came with a big crack in it, may have been damaged during shipping though. Not a huge deal because it’s not supposed to be water tight or anything, but still ugly. But it works and it keeps my tadpole safe from the adult frogs in my fish tank

I didn’t upload any photo because I didn’t want to edit my device settings for photo access but it looks just like the photos depicted its small but it worked well, the suction cups were not initially attached and thus i never used them. I did at some times tape the lid on incase it somehow sunk. Unless strong or determined or multiple fish are looking to be free that shouldn’t be necessary. It worked well overall. the middle layer divider only stayed down well when the little bar divider was also in place below it which was fine. I often didn’t need to use those pieces as I was using it for isolating a aggressive fish or introduction of new fish. I had tried having pregnant fish in there but I never timed it right and I felt bad for them and let them out each time I’d put one of the super pregnant appearing guppies in there after they didn’t give birth within some timeframe of good length. I did however later use the container to hold the baby fry guppies after the fish gave birth in the main tank area and I put some live plants in and it held 20 fry easily and none appear to be able to get out. I’ve seen them try. I had premature baby fry in the main tank at times they were like a piece of teeny broken lead from a mechanical pencil. Those aren’t what they should look like and while I separated out into another container those ultimately died and likely would’ve been able to swim through the cracks. When the fry are born healthily they’re a bit bigger than a piece of rice and clearly visible and cannot get through this container. I did need to move out the fry to clean out food that got gross after a couple days. Can’t say if any pregnant fish would give birth in there. I would say if you move them midway through once they start they’ll likely continue; it would help if it’s not the fish’s first time giving birth as its overall less stressful for the fish.

This is very easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy. It does not budge once you stick it in your aquarium and it also does not topple over. I just do not like how it is hard to clean an allergy girls on it very quickly.
