I have tried so many litters. I was currently using World’s Best and liked it until it was nearing its end.
It dissolves as time goes on…(I change completely once a month.)
You can’t add to it. Enough of that. I have not had to add to FreshStep Outstretched in the week or so that I have been using it. I had to pour in one 16# and 3/4 of another 16# box for my large pan. The three cats seem to prefer it over the World’s Best pan that was still there. It clumps very well, able to scoop it up with out it falling apart, with out tiny bits of urine caked pieces falling back into the pan. That is what I like the best. Also, it is not as heavy as TidyCat. It doesn’t leave a muddy mess on the bottom of the pan. I followed the instructions for 3-4 inches. I think mine was closer to 3 inches.
Yes I would buy this again. Yes I recommend highly. I try to clean twice a day but to be honest usually just in morning. Still works great.

    Two Cats…
    One male, one female

I used to change the litter every 3 days as the box is in an out of the was contained space.
Now I clean it every 4 days. It does scoop more easily than the multi cast version.

People not usually advise this, but it’s important:
As the male pee is in the front of the box, and the female pee is in the back of the box, the litter also lasts longer as it is not accumulating in only one spot. (Also, the two genders let you know if each is peeing normaly or has an issue.)

I recommend, but you do have to consider the much high price.

I don’t dislike anything about the product it’s just that I’m starting to get a lot sicker now because of the mold and I’m starting to understand more that cats have a 20% more powerful smell than we do and when they go to their natural habitat to go to the bathroom it doesn’t smell like Febreze or things like that unnatural and if it was Unscented it would be better for the cats and better for humans. I find that using just plain cinnamon keeps the ants away. I also clean with a very good brown vinegar, apple cider vinegar. Your house smell like vinegar though and it kills a lot of germs now I do use some Ajax or something like that and then the toilet and stuff in a while like once a month I might put some gear on and really scrub with some bleach just to make sure right now I have that nano virus. I guess it’s called. I feel awful. I couldn’t understand why I was vomiting and I had diarrhea and here I was just talking about it to my friends sending things from CDC because I’m independent researcher and I just completely forgot And I’m probably not even saying it right right now. I feel like a fool if I was I have to check. Norovirus OK it’s called the neurovirus now on here is saying that the CDC is saying it’s only 12 to 48 hours symptom time I don’t know about that because it’s Saturday and I’ve been sick for over a week and yeah I just I’m I’m just exhausted but chemicals make it worse especially when you find mold and you start looking it up and I clean houses for a living and I never seen mold if I ever see anything that I don’t know anything about I research it until I know everything practically and the pen medicines infectious disease department calls me an independent researcher and they would like my research I wanted to just exchange they can have all my research if they would go through my body and do some biopsies and find out if I can beat get better because I molds are absolutely most horrible thing I’ve ever read you might as well be in a torture camp. This is the most horrible thing and I just 65 but I just would like to have. I’m sorry for all this the same letter if you have it in unsent it, if you have another brand, maybe send me a message and let me know and and I’ll probably choose it because I want to go on send it the last time I scooped their box , I am mask didn’t help I could not breathe just because of the fragrance of it. Other than that I think you guys are great. You are great and I’m very grateful to have you as my company and especially the delivery people. They’ve never made a mistake. They’ve always done everything very kindly and if I ever see them by you know just by mistake or accident I say thank you very much you’re so wonderful and I’ll tell you .

This is the best kitty litter I have ever used. I hope it stays available. There is no offensive odor. All I can smell is the febreeze. My fur babies like it very much. It is easy to scoop. The urine doesn’t soak to the bottom of the box. This is well worth the money.

I’m usually around when my cat needs to pee given that I work from home so I tend to want to clean the box asap. In doing so the litter has yet to fully form into a hardened clump but I have noted it’s still easy to pick up with minimal chipping. Fresh Step forms rather large clumps which is good for people like me. Even when the clumps chip they are fairly large so they can still be pulled from the box. This keep the box cleaner and allows for me to not need to change it but once every two weeks as I fill in the litter after the one week mark.

I don’t know what Clorox (Parent company) is doing with their litter brand but the scent of it is strong. Its such that you can taste it when cleaning the box out. It has a scent similar to some well known men’s cologne. I like that it clumps well with minimal breakage of the clumps and it last quite a while. It took about 2.5w for the scent of the litter to finally dissipate however at that point, I feel like the product no longer holds onto urine odor.

Previously I was using Nestle brand, Purina Tidy Cats which I can say in comparison isn’t as good of a product overall. For one, dust was something else when cleaning the box as well as when my cat would dig for her bowl movements. You could see a bit of a dust cloud above the box when she’d dig around. Tidy cats also almost always broke apart when still semi wet from pee. If you, like me, clean the box quickly after use you’ll notice plenty of tiny clumps that wasn’t picked up. This caused me to want to get rid of the litter as soon as possible because all the tiny clumps of litter is very unsanitary. I spent far more on this brand of litter as I needed to use more to keep things sanitary. The one real pro is the fact their product is truly unscented.

Both brands of litter track but because Fresh Step is a denser litter it has far less tracking than Tidy Cats. Tidy would be all over my apartment. Fresh Step at best usually goes no more than about a food from the litter box normally due to the fact my cat jumps out her box taking litter with her. I don’t sweep around her box nearly as much since switching out to Fresh Step.

Overall I will continue to buy because it’s an excellent litter that performs well however shaving a star off due to the fact its still highly scented.
