This is my 4th aquarium heater for my 3 gal beta fish aquarium in less than one year. Who would know it so hard to keep my little fish warm. This one looks like the best but can not keep the temp about 75 for 3 gallons and I keep my house at 64.

Bottom line: for an inexpensive heater, has been very reliable so far. Would purchase again.

For years I had used the cheapest most basic heaters in my 10 gal tanks. I constantly struggled with maintaining temps, as they often would get stuck on and raise the tank to dangerous levels, or not come on at all. A few weeks ago, I decided to redo my tank and make it a shrimp/mini crayfish tank and decided I needed a better heater. I looked at some of the more expensive heaters, but many were too big to fit in a deep bed planted 10 gallon . Although inexpensive and NOT adjustable ( which clearly stated in description), it has performed great. Stable temp and I no longer worry about checking my tank multiple times per day.

So far I’ve had zero problems with this heater for my tank full of tropical fish. It keeps the temp at a constant 79.2 degrees and hasn’t wavered since reaching that. Automatically kicks on when it needs to heat up the water and a little red LED shows that it’s working. Turns off automatically when it’s reached temp. You could get one with more features like the ability to set the temp yourself, etc, and if you need to do that, this isn’t the unit for you as it features no ability to set a different temp than what it come programmed with. But for me, this is doing perfect in my 10 gallon tank.

This heater works perfectly in my male betta’s 10 gallon aquarium. He has a few companion neon tetras and mystery snails and everyone is healthy and active and thriving.
