I’ve tried other seed and almost resorted to live mealworms to attract bluebirds, but learned they have to be refrigerated or they will turn into beetles. This bird seed worked, the day after adding this to a fruit and berry mix in my tray feeder I had bluebirds. Its pricier but doesn’t have the waste of other birdseed so seems worth it.

Cardinals, doves, bluebirds, and mocking birds, just to name a few, have all come to our feeder while using Bugs N’ Berries. It’s a good mix and the birds do seem to enjoy it. If possible I would deduct 1/2 point due to some of the berries being quit large, or small ones sticking together. The birds will not eat these, and I end up throwing these large clumps away. Other than that it’s a good blend.

Anybody that rates this lower than 5 is off their rocker. I have nearly 20 species that depend on my feeder and this blend. Key is too have a high quality feeder that is squirel proof. Of course squirrels will eat it, but what won’t they eat. For me, they only eat what the birds drop which is generally the seed husks. I am attaching pictures so you will see that I have extended my feeder far enough away from the tree that the squirrels can’t lean over to knock the seeds out of the feeder that is designed to prevent squirrels.
I live in the Tampa Bay area on the coast and have parrots visit twice a day. You need to place your feeder under some cover of trees of some sort so they feel safe from predator birds. They can also grab and go to branches to dehusk the seeds.
